Upon request from members who attended last years’ GPS training, we have made some changes for 2008. We will have
half-day machine system training in the classroom. After completing the classroom training, attendees will sign up for full day machine operation with one-on-one training in the field.
Training will include pond/slope grading, road grading, full automatic machine control, etc.
We will again be offering GPS Rover Training for 49ers that have management, foreman, and/or lead positions in our
industry. If you will not be in one of those positions this 2008 work season, please do not register for the training! The Rover Training will be a full day class that will consist of one to two
hours of classroom followed by hands-on training in the field, dress accordingly! Hard hats, vests, and weather related clothing is mandatory. We will train on topo’s, grade/site checking, volume calculations, breakpoints, staking, etc.
